Her name is Michèle. She is not a supermodel. And a pigeon pooped on her head!
Michèle is beautiful! Her willingness to let me post this not-so-complimentary video of the aftermath of an Italian pigeon pooping on her head and me waterboarding her to get it clean, is exactly why she has always been and will always be my number 1 travel companion. FUN! I see way too many female supermodel travel-bloggers in full make up, wearing Vera Wang skirts, and walking in Jimmy Choo heels over a wooden rope bridge in some barely mentioned country’s rainforest.

After a thorough washing, Michèle took one last picture of the outside of the Pantheon. Look up just to the right of the peak.

Upon closer inspection, you can see the little pooper, looking down, as if to mock us. Do Italians still eat pigeons?
Most people would have called it a day, but Michèle marched through Rome like Il Duce looking for a plate of cacio e pepe. That’s a pasta specialty in Rome. It means cheese and pepper.
After this, we walked a short distance to the right of the Pantheon and had 2 cappuccini at the famous, La Casa Del Cafe Tazza d’Oro. Michèle just needed a boost and off we went.
The Italians think that getting pooped on by a bird is good luck. Michèle disagrees.
