EUROPE

There are a total of 50 countries in Europe, unless you count Bosnia and Herzegovina as two, then there are 51. But Bosnia and Herzegovina is actually just one country – Nice compromise everyone! Either way it doesn’t matter because neither Michèle nor I have been there. Combined, we hit 20 countries in Europe, but our city count might be close to 200 because it is the one region that we return to over and over again. Michèle has family and friends EVERYWHERE. I’m not sure if we can count Wales because we got lost driving around Western England and we were never sure where we were. All the signs and radio stations were in some funny sounding made up language, so we think we were in Wales, but we’ll never know for sure.

Here’s where we did go:

Andorra
Drove the entire length between Spain and France. Stopped midway for directions. Not surye why we stopped. It’s one roan in and one road out. The girl who gave me directions seemd like she wanted me to take her with me. She made an odd motion using her pinter to pull down the sjim below her eye. I aked her what that meant, she said be careful. The trafic in both direction was terrible. Andora is duty free do all the frence and spanich drive in and out just to get alcohol and cigarettes.

Extensive as that list might seem, that still leaves a whopping 30 countries that we have not been to in Europe. Truth be told, Michèle and I would be happy just to return to France or Italy every year for the rest of our lives. Everytime we are in France or Italy, we plan on going left, end up going right, and have an even better, unexpected, experience. Like, Lyon, France for example. It’s always on our list, but we somehow never quite make it there. Though it’s a funnier story that we never quite get there.
