There are a total of 54 countries in Africa…this week. There are thousands of tribes, so ofcourse it made sense when the allied victors of World War II reduced those tribes to just 54 countries. We’ve only been to 5, with Michèle having lived in Kenya and Uganda. She was there during the Idi Amin regime – not really the right content for a travel humor site, but I’ll figure something out.
Here’s where we did go:
Kenya
- Mombasa
- Nairobi
Uganda
- Kampala
South Africa
- Johannesburg
- Pretoria
- Sun City – but I didn’t play there!
Tunisian
- Tunis
- Carthage
- Sidi Bou Said
Botswana
- Maun
- Okavango Delta
- Xakanaxa
If we have the chance to go back – Egypt, Seychelles, Madagascar, Morocco, Mauritius and possibly one of the two Congos, whichever is safest.
- NOTE: Forget either Congo, I just searched images for Congo and mostly what came up were pictures of guerillas…the ones with guns not bananas.
